Here’s what’s moving into its space. Marisa PetrarcaInstagramAbout NewBeauty Jul 2, 2026 Target It’s been nearly five years since Ulta Beauty set up shop inside Target, complete with its own displays and Ulta-trained staff, but as of this month, that partnership has come to an end. Its replacement, Target Beauty Studio, essentially a Target-curated version of the experience, opens September 10 in more than 600 stores and on Target.com. The roughly 1,000-square-foot spaces once occupied by Ulta aren’t going anywhere; Target is converting that same real estate directly into Beauty Studio, giving the retailer full control over the assortment and merchandising it never had under the Ulta deal. Shoppers are already documenting the transition on TikTok, catching glimpses of the old Ulta shelving being swapped out in real time, including creator Amanda Monsen (@amandadoeshauls), whose video is already picking up buzz.
