A quick TikTok search for “caramel perfume” leads straight to the “smell like dessert” trend, which has seen engagement climb 266 percent year over year. Google searches show a similar spike, up 181 percent. Dessert-forward fragrances have earned top billing in this year’s trend cycle, with vanilla and marshmallow leading the way. Now it’s caramel’s turn to shine, right on schedule. According to Spate’s 2025 Predicted Beauty Trends Report, caramel perfumes are set to be the next big gourmand scent, with predicted growth of 42 percent.
