The move marked a major evolution for the skin-care giant, putting it in direct competition with established filler portfolios like RHA, Restylane and Juvéderm. This week, the brand expanded that portfolio again. Obagi announced FDA approval of Saypha ChIQ, a hyaluronic acid filler designed for cheek augmentation and correction of midface contour deficiencies in patients over 21. The new approval makes ChIQ the second injectable under Obagi’s growing aesthetics umbrella, further signaling the brand’s ambitions to become a more comprehensive player in the category.
